Simple Circular Splicing Systems
Abstract.
DNA molecules are known to be present in the form of a circular sequence, in
certain circumstances. The DNA-inspired operation of splicing has been studied
for circular strings, as well as for linear strings, and for their combinations.
The notion of simple splicing has been introduced in the linear case. We
introduce here simple splicing on circular words, and we examine some properties
of the resulting circular languages. |
