FinFET Model for Hand Calculation

ABSTRACT: A FinFET large signal device model for hand calculation DC analysis was developed using the Sah model as a reference and the available FinFET transistor models as fundation. First-order compact-model parameters were extracted and a new FinFET deviceequation set is proposed in order to improve model accuracy compared to the Sah model (3% error vs ≈40% error). The proposed model provides valuable hints regarding circuit operation based on user definable FinFET parameters.
